ISHI SHARMA

As a longtime musician and filmmaker, the world of media has always held a special place in Ishi’s heart. Ishi grew up in different places around the world, including Pune, India and New Jersey, and transferred to UNF in Fall 2022. She is currently studying Business Intelligence and hopes to link her creative and analytical interests for a career in the field of media and entertainment. Music has been an elemental part of Ishi’s life for as long as she can remember; she is passionate about playing the guitar, piano and singing. She also enjoys discovering music—especially hidden gems—across genres like rock, indie and beyond. Ishi always welcomes new opportunities and is looking forward to fusing her diverse interests as she continues her professional journey.

alekzander jenkins

A fan of sports and news, with a love for speaking, Alekzander combines the two to drive his passion for radio. Growing up in Orlando, Florida, Alekzander began his journey in media through his high school TV production program. Since arriving at UNF, Alekzander has become the public address announcer and play-by-play for various sports teams around Jacksonville. Alekzander fell in love with radio after starting a sports recap show on Spinnaker Radio. A fan of new age and classic rock, he enjoys listening to music in his spare time, along with lo-fi and jazz while studying. Always open to new adventures, Alekzander loves learning new things and experiencing new opportunities.

Caceres

“A little love story, you could say.” Known by his familial name, Caceres, his unwavering passion for music became the guiding force that propelled him towards Spinnaker Radio. Growing up amidst the vibrant culture of Miami, Florida within a Latino family, he fostered a deep appreciation for rhythm and melody from a young age. For him, radio isn’t just about entertainment and music; it is a cultural cornerstone. The hosts of the Power Morning Show of 96.5 in Miami and Elvis Duran are just few names that inspires Caceres’s vision for radio, ambitious yet deeply rooted in his belief in the power of music to transcend boundaries and unite people from diverse backgrounds. Through innovative programming, expansive content, and a commitment to amplifying the voices of the University, Caceres aims to grow Spinnaker Radio into a campus staple – a beacon of culture, creativity, and inclusivity.

RYAN LUKE

As a sports fanatic and lover of sharing his opinions and being heard, Ryan has always had a dream of being on the TV and Radio one day talking about what he is passionate about. With family ties to being on the radio and DJing in college through his mom and sister, it was only a matter of time until he joined the club. With an interest in music that spans everything from the 70s to modern pop to chicago rap you never quite know what he’s listening to. He hopes that his studies in sports management and multimedia journalism will one day help him to accomplish his goal of being a sportscaster. Through Spinnaker Radio, he is looking to grow his personal brand, refine his skills, and learn the ins and outs of creating content, and being behind the scenes. Don’t forget to tune into the sports broadcasts and Huddle Up U to hear him in his natural element!
