ALEKZANDER JENKINS

A fan of sports and news, with a love for speaking, Alekzander combines the two to drive his passion for radio. Growing up in Orlando, Florida, Alekzander began his journey in media through his high school TV production program. Since arriving at UNF, Alekzander has become the public address announcer and play-by-play for various sports teams around Jacksonville. Alekzander fell in love with radio after starting a sports recap show on Spinnaker Radio. A fan of new age and classic rock, he enjoys listening to music in his spare time, along with lo-fi and jazz while studying. Always open to new adventures, Alekzander loves learning new things and experiencing new opportunities.

As a sports fanatic and lover of sharing his opinions and being heard, Ryan has always had a dream of being on the TV and Radio one day talking about what he is passionate about. With family ties to being on the radio and DJing in college through his mom and sister, it was only a matter of time until he joined the club. With an interest in music that spans everything from the 70s to modern pop to chicago rap you never quite know what he’s listening to. He hopes that his studies in sports management and multimedia journalism will one day help him to accomplish his goal of being a sportscaster. Through Spinnaker Radio, he is looking to grow his personal brand, refine his skills, and learn the ins and outs of creating content, and being behind the scenes. Don’t forget to tune into the sports broadcasts and Huddle Up U to hear him in his natural element!
